During our yearly RC boat display in Wohlen, Switzerland, Moonraker was showed in a small basin. Therefore the top speed could not be achieved as of the limited size of this basin. Never the less beautiful detail shots have been the result from this yacht cruising in displacement mode. When speeding up the vessel quickly starts planing and the top speed is far above the hull speed nearly reached in the vid. Powered by three water jets – equally to the Moonrakers setup during 1992 – the max speed is between 25 and 30 km/h (what is perfect in scale to the original max. speed).
